JEE Advanced is an examination held for students who qualify in JEE Main. The candidates’ scores in JEE Advanced will decide if they are eligible for admission in IITs in various parts of the country. JEE Advanced is one of the toughest entrance examinations in India. The JEE Advanced is a computer-based test. The candidates are given a time limit of 3 hours to complete the examination. The examination centers for JEE Advanced are in 7 different zones. The candidates must select the preferred zone and the city while filling the application form.
JEE Advanced 2021 was held in the first week of October 2021. The registration and application form for this exam opened in the month of September. Every year, more than 16 lakh candidates appear for JEE Main. Out of this, around 2.5 lakh candidates get shortlisted to appear for JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced Application Form and Admit Card
The candidates who qualify in JEE Main will be informed about their eligibility to apply for JEE Advanced. The candidates can enter the necessary details and apply for the examination.
The candidates who successfully submit the application form will receive the admit card on the official website. The candidates are advised to keep the admit card safely till the end of the admission process. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination center.
JEE Advanced Question Paper
The question paper of JEE Advanced is based on the CBSE curriculum of class 11 and class 12. The JEE Advanced question paper does not follow a fixed pattern except for the fixed number of questions. JEE Advanced consists of 2 papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is mandatory to attempt both the question papers. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will include subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There is a negative marking given for incorrect answers.
JEE Advanced Previous Years’ Question Papers
Practicing previous years’ question papers is extremely important for scoring well in the examination. Candidates must collect the maximum number of question papers from past years and solve it regularly to get familiar with the question paper pattern, frequently asked questions, difficulty levels, the time required to solve each question, etc.

JEE Advanced 2021 was conducted by IIT Kharagpur, on 3rd October 2021. It was a computer-based examination, which included multiple-choice questions and non – multiple-choice questions. As per usual norms, the Physics and Chemistry papers were set at a moderate to difficult level, while chemistry was the easiest among the three subjects.
The JEE Advanced examination has 2 papers including subjects like Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Each paper has three sections. In Paper 1, section 1 includes four 4 multiple-choice questions. Each question is provided with 4 options, of which only one option is correct. Section 2 has 8 multiple choice questions with four options each, out of which one or more options may be correct. In section 3, there are 6 numerical problems that have to be solved. In Paper 2, section 1 has 8 multiple choice questions with four options, of which one or more options may be correct. Section 2 in Paper 2 includes 6 questions without choices. The third section has two list match set questions. Each set has two multiple-choice questions.
JEE Advanced Result and Counselling Process
The results can be downloaded and printed from the official site. The candidate’s roll number, date of birth, and registered phone number must be entered to view the results. The candidates who score more than the cutoff marks will be qualified for the counseling process. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority is responsible for the counseling process. The seats are allotted based on the all India ranks of the candidates in the JEE Advanced 2021.
